My dog would act like that. For sure.

What hasn’t already been said about Dune? I’m not sure, but I’m going to try to say it:
I managed to come to Frank Herbert’s Dune without knowing what I was getting into. If you still don’t know much about it, i’d love to not ruin it for you. Instead, I’d just encourage you to go borrow it from the library or buy it from Amazon ($5.98 on Kindle last time I checked… beauty, eh?).
If you’ve heard about Dune and thought, “Nah, not for me,” let me tell you what I loved:
I love that Dune starts with narrowly focused intrigue that is actually expansive. I love that the universe of Dune makes internal sense. I love the multiple players that come into view and have vested interests in what happens on Arrakis. I love that the weak of the world are not actually that weak, that the powerful of the world have weaknesses that are gradually exposed. It feels like a universe that could exist, even though it doesn’t.
At least, I think it doesn’t. Can you see the future right now? Have you ever ridden a sand worm? As long as the answer to those is no, we’re okay. Of course, if those questions don’t bring a smile to your face, you probably haven’t read Dune. You should.
Excuse me. I have a Sand Worm named destiny to ride.
